The Assistant/Associate works closely with the VP Operations to deliver unsurpassed People Solutions as well Quality and Process. This temporary employment is planned out for 4 months to cover pre-maternity of one of the lead team members. In the role the Associate will help the organization to deliver a high quality service to clients during the administration of assignments and providing centralizing value add services. The tasks listed below are an extract of some of the items that might be entrusted to the candidate, but also other elements may be add ad hoc.

The position is based in Barcelona Spain, the manager resides in multiple locations of which Barcelona is one. During the 4 months engagement, with a possibility to potentially, not guaranteed, extend or to convert to permanent, the associate should be working from the office in Barcelona. Teleworking (working from home office) once a week can be arranged.

Talent - People

• Conduct the operational process for Induction planning for all new staff in EMEA
• Support the Coaching and Mentoring program operationally
• Maintain and build in cooperation with the Head of Research EMEA and the VP Operations a meaningful and efficient Master Class schedule
• Maintain accurate data in the Information system, on attendance of all training and events as outlined above
• Support all promotion processes in EMEA operationally
• Maintain accurate records and anniversaries of staff and organize relevant gifts and recognitions
• Run a reliable Exit interview with quarterly reporting to the European Operating Committee

Operations

• Maintain a library of knowledge presentation, continuously updated for all Master Classes and inductions
• Create and update independently, following basic instruction, project presentations, and change management presentation
• Provide support and guidance to operational and functional as well as support staff on all operational aspects and process
• Act as knowledge broker

Quality

• Support VP Operations with regular and ad hoc reporting on processes and quality in close cooperation with Head of Research
• Provide and research information on internal as well as external aspects as instructed by VP Operations and Head of Research


The Associate also must have:

• Excellent communication skills; written, spoken as well as listening. The Associate will be articulate and persuasive, and able to communicate complex matters in a straightforward, clear and concise manner.


ROLE RELEVANCE
The Associate Operations position at Korn Ferry is viewed as a critical support position for the business with an international outlook. It is a key role for the success of the operational backbone of Korn Ferry EMEA.

In addition the Associate is expected to be proficient in the latest versions of MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel and be the expert in these tools an supersede the knowledge of any Operations team member in these.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will have first basic professional experience and ideally, will have had exposure to one or more of the industries/functions that the firm focuses on in at least short term assignments, or has demonstrated the nascent required skills already in a role in the Firm. If the candidate brings experience out of the travel o hospitality industry this could prove advantageous. On the other hand experience in a larger international organization and/or in recruitment will facilitate the contextual entry into the role.

In addition to having excellent communication skills, oral, written and listening, the candidate must possess the ability to articulate and present his/her findings. The ability to manage multiple projects effectively is most important. The ideal candidate must be self confident and self motivated, dynamic, accomplished, and viewed as an individual who can advance within Korn Ferry.

Successful candidates will be highly motivated, have good judgment and possess superior interpersonal and evaluative skills. He/She will take direction well, be detail oriented and able to work well under deadline.

EDUCATION
An undergraduate degree or equivalent is required; an MBA or another advanced degree is preferred. High degree of oral and written English is essential.
