China Tours Product & International Market Development Specialist We are looking for a **China Tours Product & International Market Development Specialist** to help develop, package, promote, and sell China tour products for international travelers. The role will cover classic China tours, first-time visitor itineraries, private tours, family trips, cultural experiences, Yangtze River cruises, small-group tours, and tailor-made China travel programs.
This position is not only a product operations role. It also requires strong sales awareness, market development ability, and the capability to help build strategies for growing our China inbound travel business.
## Key Responsibilities
– Organize, optimize, and maintain China tour products, including itineraries, highlights, pricing, inclusions, exclusions, departure dates, hotel standards, transportation arrangements, pickup details, and travel notes.
– Repackage China tour products for international travelers, making the content clear, trustworthy, practical, and easy to understand, especially for first-time visitors to China.
– Develop sales and marketing strategies for different source markets, including English-speaking markets, European markets, North American markets, and other potential international markets.
– Research the needs, concerns, travel habits, and purchasing behavior of foreign travelers interested in visiting China.
– Define product positioning, key selling points, pricing approaches, promotional angles, and sales messages for different customer segments.
– Support the development of market promotion plans for China tours, including website content, SEO content, social media, email campaigns, B2B cooperation, travel agency partnerships, and destination promotion activities.
– Help develop China travel products suitable for international markets, including classic China routes, first-time China tours, family tours, private small-group tours, cultural tours, business delegation trips, and customized travel programs.
– Handle China tour inquiries from the company website, email, WhatsApp, social media, partner channels, travel agencies, and other sales channels.
– Follow up with customers in a professional and timely manner, understand their travel dates, group size, nationality, preferred language, budget, interests, and special requirements.
– Assist in preparing suitable China travel proposals, quotations, itineraries, and customer-facing sales materials.
– Communicate with local suppliers in China, including ground operators, hotels, guides, transportation providers, attractions, and other service partners to confirm pricing, availability, itinerary details, and service standards.
– Maintain China tour website pages and product content to ensure all information is accurate, professional, and up to date.
– Research competitor China tour products, pricing, packaging, sales channels, and market trends, and provide recommendations for product and market improvement.
– Assist in developing overseas business partners, including travel agencies, custom travel advisors, cultural organizations, schools, corporate clients, special interest groups, and other potential B2B channels.
– Monitor China inbound travel updates, including visa-free policies, flight recovery, destination trends, and market changes, and provide relevant updates to management.
– Track sales data, inquiry sources, customer conversion, market feedback, and business opportunities, and prepare regular reports with recommendations.
– Work closely with the sales, operations, technology, and marketing teams to support product launch, market promotion, customer conversion, and booking fulfillment.
## What We’re Looking For
– Experience in the travel industry, tour operations, travel agencies, destination management, international sales, product development, or market development.
– Strong interest in China as a travel destination and willingness to learn about major Chinese destinations such as Beijing, Shanghai, Xi’an, Guilin, Zhangjiajie, Chengdu, Chongqing, the Yangtze River, Yunnan, Hangzhou, Suzhou, and other key regions.
– Understanding of, or willingness to learn about, common concerns foreign travelers may have when visiting China, such as visa or visa-free entry, language support, airport pickup, hotel standards, meals, high-speed rail, guide service, payment methods, and travel confidence.
– Excellent written and spoken English is required. The candidate must be able to communicate professionally and clearly with customers, suppliers, and business partners.
– Strong product organization and writing skills, with the ability to turn complex travel information into clear, attractive, and customer-friendly product content.
– Strong sales and market awareness, with the ability to identify target customers, product selling points, promotional angles, and cooperation channels.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace, especially Excel or Google Sheets for organizing product information, pricing, inquiries, sales data, and market reports.
– Highly detail-oriented, responsible, and able to manage multiple products, customer inquiries, suppliers, and deadlines at the same time.
– Genuine interest in travel, cultural exchange, international customer development, and China destination promotion.
– Self-motivated and able to work independently in a small-team environment, while proactively identifying problems and suggesting improvements.
## Language Requirements
– **Excellent English is required**, both written and spoken.
– Additional languages are a plus, such as Spanish, French, German, Italian, or other European languages.
## Nice to Have
– Experience with China inbound tourism, outbound travel to Asia, tailor-made tours, high-end small-group tours, or destination management.
– Experience in international tourism sales, B2B partnership development, travel agency channel development, or overseas market promotion.
– Experience in travel product copywriting, SEO content, website product page management, digital marketing, or social media promotion.
– Experience creating sales plans, market development strategies, customer acquisition plans, or partner development proposals.
– Familiarity with China destination resources, hotels, guides, vehicles, high-speed rail, domestic flights, cruises, attractions, or ticketing operations.
– Experience handling international customer inquiries, quotations, follow-ups, and sales conversion.
– Basic skills in Canva, image editing, layout design, or travel marketing material preparation.
## Compensation & Work Arrangement
– Base salary: €1,400–€1,500 per month.
– Performance bonus available, based on individual performance, sales results, inquiry conversion, market development achievements, and company policy.
– Location: Alicante, Spain.
– Work arrangement: On-site.
– Employment type: Full-time.
