About the Role

We are a recruiting for a leading global automotive supplier, recognized as one of the largest innovative companies in the sector, designing breakthrough solutions to reinvent mobility. We are partnered with top automakers worldwide.

We are seeking a Plastic Injection Tooling Engineer for our Jaén facility. This is a hybrid role: approximately 50% hands-on on the shop floor (toolshop and APU, working alongside technicians at the injection machine) and 50% in R&D and project follow-up.


You will ensure technical mold developments for P1 projects according to QCD, supporting injection tooling development for new products for top car makers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in project RFQ: orient mold and injection process topics for optimal industrial conditions
  • Verify plastic part component designs for injection process and tooling manufacturability
  • Analyze Moldflow simulations to orient design, mold specifications, and injection parameters
  • Define mold Requirement File and specificities for mold supplier insourcing, coordinating with Tooling Purchase, R&D, Project teams, and plants
  • Ensure mold tooling design validation with participation from plants and metiers
  • Manage Steel orders and Machining orders
  • Support Quality & Project teams in analyzing injected parts for each trial
  • Drive technical corrective action plans until completion
  • Ensure technical status for mold building, tuning, and injection process through trials, reports, and documentation
  • Support plantteams during fine tuning of mold and injection process
  • Validate Product/Process objectives (cycle time, scrap, etc.) and pass Process Audit and Initial Samples milestones
  • Secure ramp-up FDPR and SOP
  • Respect project planning, budget, and technical deliverables
